Default Experienced mechanics come in....

So my 98 SS lately has been giving me problems as far as power steering. Was leaking power steering fluid, it appeared to be the pump, so I replaced it. Put the reservoir on with the o-ring and everything. Everything was fine, for about a week, now it has appeared to start leaking again. Looked like it was coming from the pump again, so it was under warranty, i replaced it again. Same thing happened and it keeps leaking all over the belt, throwing fluid all over the bottom of my hood and in the engine bay. What could be leaking? Doesnt look like any of the hoses. Oh yeah I replaced the cap on the reservoir.

Hey man,
I just replaced my power steering pump on mine last weekend.

Did you replace the little o-ring on the pressure hose too?

I installed mine with a little bit of Vasaline (trick I learned rebuilding the 727 tranny in my 'Cuda)

Check to see if the hose isn't loose, or if you didn't over tighten it and ruin the o-ring.

Just throwing things out there. Hope you figure it out.

Is it leaking out the front where the reservoir meets the pump?
