Default Any of you changed your front wheel bearing hubs?

Mine are starting to make a noise after about 35 MPH. And it seems that each week it just gets louder and louder. Very annoying. The new assembly for each side runs around 115 bucks. Couldn't I just keep the hub and just get new bearings for inside? Anyone out there come across this?

Very easy to replace. FWIW I've only seen the assembly for sale. I don't think the part is serviceable

Yes the hub/bearing is a sealed unit.

Be sure it's not your tires. That's not a very common problem, is it? Had a '98 Z28, and thought an axle bearing was going out. After changing it out, I found that I had a separated belt in a rear tire...

It is definately coming from the front end. I removed the four bolts and unplugged the sensor but I still can not get the damn hub assembly out. I tryed a rubber mallet and some PB Blaster, still won't budge. Should I just go with the BFH method as long as I have new assemblies?

i'd say heat and the bfh would do wonders.
