use Mobile 1 5-40 truck oil, has additives that regular "car" oil doesn't have that will help protect ur engine.
K&N is a waist of money, might as well use paper towels. switch to wix or purolator. both have been tested and taken apart to check out quality of materials and how well they filter. they beat every filter on the market.
the silverado filter is longer than ours and will work on our cars, use that filter
that's about all I feel like typing so if u have more questions ask someone else.

GC will NOT gunk up your engine. mobil 1 5W-40 is a good oil, i'm trying to find some (but failing). GC is still better on paper.
i use a napa gold filter. IMO, K&N, you pay for the name. i'll stick with my napa gold (WIX).
