Default Can you return new parts back to the dealership?

I'm pretty sure I need a part and the sooner the better. I don't wanna order it from gmpartsdirect because they don't to returns on special order items. Everything is a special order item according to them and take forever!!!

So...if I order it from the dealership, am I able to return it if I don't end up using it?

Depends on the part/dealer policy.

In my experience the dealer will let you do that at a 10% reshelf fee.

For a special order, my dealers have told me no returns, pay in advance. For anything in stock which isn't considered electronic (MAF, for instance), you can return it. I don't recall if it mattered if the box was opened, but it didn't matter on electronics...you buy it, you keep it.

If I need parts I go thru SDPC, which is one of our sponsors here. Great service and they have always got orders to me quick.

Holy crap, your right! I just checked it out. Thanks man, I'd so much rather order from a sponsor than that other crap. Its only like $20 more and will come a lot faster!

I've done both. Buy the part from the dealer and install it in the car then save the receipt. Shop on line buy it for cheaper and return that new part to the dealer unopened. This way you get your part when you need it and save the cash at the same time.
