Default Rear defroster?

My rear defroster doesn't work anymore. I checked the fuse and it is good. The connection on the back glass is good too. Can the actual switch go bad? What else could it be?

Try replacing the silver 30 amp circuit breaker with a 30 amp fuse.

When I got my car the rear defroster did not work. Used car dealer said he would fix it before I picked it up, but you know how that goes. So I brought it back and he ended up needing to get a whole new hvac control for it, just because the switch was bad. If you press the switch but don't hear a click or see the light come on, it's the switch, which like I was saying is not available by itself. Rear defroster switches all operate relays nowadays, it is on a timed cicuit so that you can't just leave the rear defroster on indefinitely, because it draws enough power that it will eventually melt a connection somewhere. That happened to a 1990 Geo Prizm I used to have, which had a regular switch for the defroster instead of a relay.
