Default transmission fluid in oil

I have noisy lifters since the cam install. The shop won't do anything about it. I've been told to try adding a quart of transmission fluid to my synthetic oil for about 100 miles then change the oil. This should get rid of any sludge that the shop may have allowed to get in the lifter. My car is an 02 ls6. Is it safe to add transmission fluid to my mobil one synthetic. If so, what kind?

Why not do a Sea Foam cleaning instead? Add a half can to your engine and ride around for a couple days, then change the oil.
You can read the part in the Sea Foam sticky about the stuff.

Check for correct pushrod length with this if your up for it.

Remeber with cam swaps sometimes base circle diameter changes, thus changing lifter preload, requiring different length pushrods.
Finally, take a look at this article.

It seems some of our LS motors were sewing machines in a previous life, but that doesn't mean we can't keep the noise level down.
Good Luck.
