Default water in engine??

Well from some rain the other night my street got flooded as i was driving home. It wasnt to the point where my car was taken away, but it definitely splashed around quite a bit. Ever since then my car has been stuttering from time to time and at different rpm's. I dont know if maybe some water got into the engine or maybe into the spark plugs, but i was wondering what you all thought.

Sounds like a plug/wire or 02 got wet - flashing SES is a misfire. Baby it down to auto zone or some place that can read codes free, even if the SES isn't on most codes are stored for several ignition cycles - don't know if their scanner reads history codes though.

I am have the same exact problem you are describing. I've replace both O2 sensors, MAF sensor and throttle postioning sensor. If you have a flashing SES light check your spark plug wires I had one fall off.

My car is a 2002 WS6 M6, sometimes it won't start all I can do is let it sit for about 10-15 minutes then it starts, and then randomly the idle jumps anywhere from 1500-3000 and randomly the engine dies. This all happened after a rainy day where I had no choice but to drive on some flood roads to get home.

changed MAF sensor - ran great for a about 2-3 weeks then started doing the same thing

changed both O2 sensors - ran great for a about 2-3 weeks then started doing the same thing

TPS sensor - Had no effect on the problem.

The only thing left that I know to do is to take it a dealership NEVER!

One idea I have left is mabe the computer itself got wet somehow or there is something else that got wet that I cant find or think of. Hope this saves you a little time and money because 2 months later I still dont know what the problem is. When I get back from the sand box in a few weeks hopefully I can start working on finding something else that could have gotten wet. If you happen to find that something else please PM me(I'll do the same) I dieing to fix this problem so I can do my H/C swap when I get back.
