Default window lift motor

i know this is a dumb question but i haven't been able to find the answer. my drivers side window only works intermittently. do i need a new regulator or just the new motor? the price about doubles at autozone if i need a new regulator so i want to make sure i need it. thanks!

sounds like the motor. if it were the regulator it would stop working completely.

Check your regulator arms to make sure they are not to bent. Grease them up too!!
