Default a/c question

I figured my freon was low because the air stopped blowing cold. I bought a kit with a gauge and the psi in the a/c system says danger. It has way too much pressure in the system. Anyone know what I need to replace to get the a/c working again? It's hot as hell in south florida right now and I am dying. Thanks in advance

I would suggest that you take it to an A/C specialist and let the experts fix the problem.

yea i would take it to and a/c place because you need to take all the freon out of the system and put the right amount. Those kits arent going to be that great.

Is it reading that high with the compressor running, or just when you put the gauge on? Thinking you might be reading the static pressure. Static you'll see around 100 psi depending on the ambient air temp.
