Default Brake light in my Gauge Cluster

The center console was recently removed then re-installed due to a clutch swap.

Since then, I've noticed the damn red 'Brake' light come on in the cluster!
It'll light for a few seconds the nturn back off...if I life the lever a bit then push back down it'll go off also.

Is there a sensor someplace in the console that might be loose?

Well, I know the transmission fluid & clutch fluid are full...since the new clutch was just installed with all new fluid.

As for the brake fluid....I havnt checked yet, how would that effect the brake level light though??

There's a sensor in the fluid reservoir that will trigger the brake light if it gets too low.

Hi Mike here is a picture of the Park Brake Lever switch. Hard to see but it is the Red micro switch. Take a look at, who knows just might be out of adjustment . Sense the console was removed. It is just a one wire ground seeking circuit.

As for the master there is a low level switch that will also turn on the light for low fluid.

I didnt realize the same 'brake light' was the same for the lever as the brake fluid level! Thanks for the pic, I'll check it out tomorrow.

Its probably the switch, im not looking forward to taking the console out again! I just got the darn thing back in. :-)
