Default 99 LS1 cranks w/o key

I Just finished tossing another engine into my 99 Z28. evrything is hooked up now its time to fire it up for the first time. I go to hook the battery up and car cranks over but does not fire. theres no key in the ignition either. I cant figure out why its cranking over by installing the battery.

check your wires on the starter. if the power wire is crossing or even close to that remote wire it will crank the starter. and the reason it doesn't start is cuz the key isn't in the ignition triggering the fuel pump, PCM, electronics etc.

I had the same problem after my tranny swap, when I tightened the remote wire down it turned into the power wire and I didn't notice. my friend was freaking out lol, thought it was the PCM... yeah he's now an auto technician lol
