AC knob moves freely and doesnt change?

AC **** moves freely and doesnt change? It's not exactly the ac ****, its the one that controls how strong the air blows. It just spins freely and its stuck on high. What happend?

It's broken. Pull it off and you will either see the plastic part that you can't see (cylindrical part) is broken, and/or the metal sleeve is still stuck on the actual HVAC control unit. You have a Pontiac (just in case you weren't sure, figured I'd point the obvious), mine broke the same way so I got 3 from a Chevy. If you wanna pay postage I'll give you the ones I'm not using.
