Loud clunk on transmission during gear shift(auto)
Tonight, i was backing up on a road and my friend (who was drunk ) wanted me to do a burnout. So he slammed the gear shifter into drive and all I hear is a loud clunk because I had the engine revving pretty hard. Its an automatic transmission. Now when I rev the engine to hard and the transmission shifts into a higher gear, I hear a loud clunk. But when I'm driving nicely the gears shift perfect and fine. its only when i rev the engine hard enough that the clunk happens.
The clunk sounds as if its coming from the transmission and it can be pretty violent if the engine is revving hard enough.
Any ideas what could be broken on it? Im still learning about engines and stuff and I have no idea what could be wrong. Im not sure what a slipping gear feels like. I hope its not too expensive to fix it, I just got the car.
Any ideas/suggestions etc is appreciated.
Thanks

Alright, yea it was the mount. I went to my friends car shop. He had one of his mechanics look at it. Sure enough, mount was destroyed. Got a new mount and he showed/helped me replace it. Hey at least i learned something new haha. Thankfully it was that and not the tranny itself.
