Default Power antenna

My power antenna has been broken for quite some time now and I have never gotten around to fixing it since my radio is always on anyway. well now I'm tired off it being broke. It's annoying to have it broken. I was curious how har dis it to fix? And can I even fix it? It runs everytime the radio is turned on but the antenna doesn't move. Is there a new part I can get to fix it? Or do i have to buy the whole assembly?

Mine was stuck in the up position too. I just unplugged the motor back there. If yours is still plugged in you should hear some noise coming from it when you turn the key to accessory. Mine was like that for over a year and I finally just got tired of my antenna being stuck up so I pushed it all the way down and now I got 0 radio reception. I'm pretty sure if you wanna replace the antenna for a new one and a new motor I imagine it'd be quite costly. Might wanna check ebay if you go that route. I just bought a smaller antenna that's not motorized for about 20 bucks that will replace your power antenna.

Gm sells a new ant module for 100 straight up or they also sell a service kit to fix yours. I don't know the price on that one.

NOTE: you can order just the mast ask for part 11 if you have option U75 1998 to 2002 f body

Mine works but I unpluged it. I never listen to the radio anyway, and tired of it going up and down when I start/stop the car.

Peace,
Craig.
