My car is driving me crazy.....squeak...squeak Ok, to make a long story short, once my engine was hydrolocked and sat for a week the squeak appeared. I had changed the belt right before the engine was hydrolocked. The squeak is RPM dependent. It is not the top tensioner. It is very clearly the bottom tensioner or the a/c clutch. I take the a/c belt off no squeak. I'm trying to rule out the a/c clutch. I regreased the pully. Still squeaky
Is it possible that it could be the belt and not the tensioner because it sat so long (one week) after being showered with dirty water. I did buy the cheap Oriley belt? Could that be the problem?
I live it Texas and need a/c most of the time or I would leave it off.
Somebody help me kill the birds nest.
