Default Electrical system problem

On my 2001 2500HD 6.0 ECSB, the truck's electrical system will temporarily discharge and then resume charging. This occurs at low speed/rpm's, happens very quickly, like flipping a switch on and off, and goes away after awhile. I have not been able to locate a TSB or any other info on this. No power accessories are on when it occurs either. Any ideas? Thanks!

Bad ALt more than likely. You may try replacing the plug on the regulator first they have an affinity for the wires breaking inside of the insulation and doing what you are describing. I have run across it a couple of times at work and screamed on the first one before I finally figured it out.

Hmm...will check that ASAP. Maybe an upgraded alternator is in the future...
