Default corrosion on turn signal socket

My turn signal socket is pretty corroded. Does anyone have suggestions on how to clean it off? I put a new bulb in a month ago and it stopped working last week...

You can buy new replacement pig tails from GM. Use some dialectric silicon grease with the new ones to protect them from moister.

Nice NBM T/A Twigs. I had the same problem with my T/A, turned out the housing was cracked, letting moisture in. I forked out some $$$ for new ones. As for the connector, I took some electronics cleaner, from the auto parts store, sprayed it on, let it sit, then took a small wire brush and cleaned out the connector. Put some dielectric grease on, and over a year later, no problems. Try cleaning it out, it probably looks rusted, but you can most likely salvage it.

Buy a new set of turn signal housings (ebay about $45), two 85881 light socket pigtails from autozone($8 a piece), and two new bulbs and some bulb grease, then you will be set for a long time.

Nice car looks just like mine.

I had the samething. I just cleaned the socket with q-tips and used new grease in the socket and drilled 2 small holes in the bottom of the housing and a new bulb. Its been good for years.
