code 34 - "MAP Sensor Signal Voltage Is Too Low"
I got a SES light the other night and it went out after I drove another 50 miles. I scanned it after the light went out and it gave me code 34 - "MAP Sensor Signal Voltage Is Too Low". It seemed to drive just fine but I noticed that my air/fuel mixture gauge was acting funny. Usually it bounces all over the place and it started going from lean to rich to lean slowly. When the light went out, it seemed to go back to normal. Also, my vacuum gauge seemed to be normal during this condition. Does this mean my sensor is going bad? What should I be looking for? Its a 95 T/A LT1. THANKS!!

Just change it because the SES light came on once? Not very helpful advice dude. Whatever the problem was... it fixed itself (at least temporarily)...
Wow. I definitely wouldn't have thought that! My battery is about 8 months old, but my alternator is original with 170K on it. The voltage gauge didn't seem to change while this was happening.

the sensor gets gunked up pretty good...
when you change it check a few other things, knock sensor connectors ( they become real brittle, and when else do you just have the manifold off??), pcv system (just shoot some throttle cleaner through it off the car...looks like coffee), and make sure you dont smash the oil sending unit...
