Default Vibration in blower motor?

Ok, C5 Vette and you turn on the blower motor or turn up the fan speed for the a/c or heater and it vibrates super bad..... i mean it'll dang near shakes the whole car. Any reason why this is? it just started doing it to my dads C5 one day. Thanks !

Mine did the same thing. You may have leaves in the fan cage or one of the plastic fins on the fan broke off causing the AC motor to be unbalanced.

It's easy to take the assembly out (least on an f-body). The motor is in the passenger side foot-well. I went ahead and replaced the entire assembly in mine. It came out to like $40 at Advance Auto Parts. The part came with the fan as well as the motor.

Yeah check the blower motor/cage or for anything inside the blower box. If it's same as ours just disconnect the motor electrical connection, remove 3 screws and it pulls out as a unit.

My girlfriends last car starting doing that. I thought the bearings in the motor were going out. Took it apart and found a dead field mouse in there. You should have seen her face when I went to her and said, "Look, I found your problem."
