Default voltage dropping

i noticed today when i rev between idle and 1500rpm and hold it for a few seconds, and let it idle again the voltage gauge will drop down between the red and the 12 volt 1/2 way mark. i have also noticed that it also is the same spot i have a slight miss/puttering at. anyone else had this happen to them?

a similar thing was happening on my dads truck, the alternator wasn't putting out enough voltage to meet the demands of the electrical system. This caused the voltage drop and sputtering in his case.

did i happen only when returning to idle?

itll only do it when returning to idle from 1300 or so rpm nothing happens when you rev it above and let it drop.

yeah, pretty much it was only a problem at low rpms because when the rpm was higher the alternator was putting out more, you can always pull yours and have advanced or autozone test it for free
