Default T/A lights coming up when car is started

Ok this is a little weird for me and I know its probably a short but any information on it would be outstanding

Since last night, when I parked the car I put the headlights down and went to turn the car off. The lights came back up all the sudden (didn't touch the ****). Didn't think twice abouut it and just went to bed. Well I went to start it today so I could get some food and they popped back up (without touching the ****) about 30 seconds after the car was started. Soon as I turn the car off though the lights go back down. I can hear kind of a clicking noise inside the dash, but everything else works fine though (interior lights, cd player, etc).

ideas?

You have a stripped headlight gear.

From the noise you describe, it sounds like a stripped gear. When that happens the headlights do a lot of really weird things. They will usually go up and down when you either lock or unlock your car with your key fob and make that clicking noise. Ironically I just finished doing the free fix on my car and it was a really easy job.
