Default Whine after drive?!

Whine after drive?!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am having the wierdest **** go on with my ta. I have always heard this slow howl when i have been driving the car for about 10 minutes and slow down to about 5mph to turn sharply. Once I turn, i hear a couple of clicks from the back and then its all gone. When I have been driving the car for a while and I come to park it, when I turn down the music I hear like a quiet whine from the inside of the car, but not really from the outside by the rear...only inside. It sounds almost like the beginning sound of the tornado siren but not loud. It has done this many times before and all of these symptoms:
1) Have been going on for a long time
2) Only happen after I have been driving it for a bit.

Is it time for a fluid change?....I opened the rear up and it was really full. So maybe the fluid they put in doesn't have slip additive?

Any suggestions? My ABS INOP Light comes on and off during driving also.

You may have a front hub going out or you could have bearing noise in the rear end. I would change the fluid and dont forget the limited slip additive. Its full when the level is even with the bottom of the fill plug hole. I would have codes checked to see why the ABS light is coming on. Generic scanners cant access the ABS data so you might have to take it to a shop. Usually a howl/moan/grind noise with an intermittent ABS light is almost always a hub.

Give all your wheels a good movement inspection. See if they rotate well with no grinding or binding. Also check the diff juice and see how it looks.

ok so ill need to put the jack under the control arm or just anywhere to prop up the wheel? also, how much would it cost for hub replacement/repair? i don't know when the owner before me changed the rear fluid last....i had it checked for amount and it was plenty full and the guy at the dealership who changed my oil said it didn't look bad at all. i don't really have any grinding at all. do i have a torsen?
