Default losing fuel somewhere!?

maybe you guys can help me out? i think im either losing fuel somewhere from the pump to the guage, or maybe ive got some bad sensors somewhere. when i stop at a light, i always put my car (a4) in neutral- i dont like having to keep my foot on the brake. today, ive noticed several times that right after i shift to N, my fuel guage drops about 1/16th. when i put in back in D, it goes up again, but never back to where it was before the light. then i got home, pulled up onto the driveway, which is very sloped. the gauge, went back up 1/8th a tank. i put it in reverse, backed out, put it in N, and the gauge goes right back down. anyone ever seen anything like this? no clue whats going on, i dont see any fuel under the car. i cant check it til wednesday cuz of my "awesome" duty rotation on the ship. but thats another story for another time.

i did a search, came up with bad O2's, maybe dirty injectors, do a seafoam......but saw nothing about the sensor or the different gears.

i appreciate the help guys!
