Stock MAF vs 85mm?? any proof ones better?
I know its tons of H/C cars out there running the stock MAF's still. Does anyone have any dyno proof ones better than the other? I just never saw where my SLP 85mm would respond to edit changes on the MAF table
I know my Ltrims were always better with the stock unit... i may switch back, but my car did run good with the SLP unit on though
anyone have any good solid data to where we should use one over the other?

Mine seemed to run slower times all across the board from 60' to 1/4 to trap speeds so i just put the stock one back on. Then I threw a rod and never got to go back to the track.

I have both, and I now run the stock unit. The SLP runs fine, not much difference, but it is tougher to tune because it does not match the MAF calibration in the PCM.

you need to have the pcm tunned to the slp/zo6 maf, after you do that it should yeild some gains however dont expect too muck, looking back i should have kept my stock one but oh well.....

Re: Stock MAF vs 85mm?? any proof ones better?
There must be a reason the Z06 uses an 85 mm MAF. I picked up a used Z06 MAF a few weeks ago, and plan to add that to my combo when I get H/C and an exhaust. Definitely requires tuning, and possible flows better but maybe not more. Factory calibrated ones (or more accurately, Pro-M calibrated ones) are the only way to go if you want it to work right and be easy to tune. Tuning is a must.
