Default Diff between stainless Kooks & Eldebrocks?

I've been running the mild steel Eldebrocks, for 5 years, with no complaints.

After wheelstanding the car, the headers have a few spots where they are smashed down. Nothing major, just looking for an excuse to upgrade to a stainless.

They look to be comparable, other than I would have to pay someone to tig the collectors on the Eldebrocks.

Power wise, are they on par with each other? Trying to justify the difference in price. Eldebrocks are $660, Kooks around 950-1000.

They are both stainless, and offer a true race merge collector. They quality of the Eldebrocks were great, when I first got then.. The Eldebrocks come standard with a 3 1/2" collector.

I'm hoping to find some dyno differences. Anyone.

Would the 2in Kooks be out of the question for your set up? I think you could see nice gains seeing as your running a 402 and possibly nitrous.

They fit is great, they fit in there with no probems. I have a tubular K-member, I dont know if the fit is any difference with the stock.

Not sure about the 2". I dont plan to stay with the nitrous, and because the car is street driven I'm not sure the 2" would fit that need. If it was all out race, then yes, 2" would be a must.

Doesn't look like I'm going to find any power difference between the 2, and I've seen both headers, and they seem to be equal in power, with more options available for the Kooks. Decisions, decisions.

Aren't the Edelbrock's a stepped header? Maybe going to a full 1 7/8" header would be benneficial with the extra cubes you're running.

Yes they are. I have a set, and they are a nice set of headers!
Wish I could've afforded the stainless though, cause I dont care for the grey Ti-Tech coating, but I bought them for performance not looks, and they are doing the job!
