Default bbk

dude i had a bbk and full bolt ons and my car went 11.00 in the quater. heat soak aint to much of a prob because theres no water in the intake. i had my car tuned by blue cat. he ssaid it flowed way better than the ls6 intake and it dont cost to much more. i think it was a great intake and i miss mine.

i have one and like it alot the runners look alot better designed than a ls6 espeacially if u clean them up and the plenum volume looks to bigger u can take the bottom off and clean it i dont know why guys get so mad when u talk about this intake its almost the same price as a new ls6 i

Here's mine, great deal for the money and fitment/quality is excellent. Oh and the MAP sensor is held in with an allen bolt, no need to silicone it in like you do with a FAST intake. Another plus is that you can still use your LS1 coolant lines with this intake.

I originally wanted to go with an LS6 intake but I wanted to retain EGR, Lingenfelter discontinued their EGR adapter and I really don't like SLP's method so after researching what is out there I decided to go with the BBK.

Most on here dont buy the BBK because of what they read. I have very consistent numbers with my BBK. Car made 445 with an f14 cam and 5.3 heads with the BBK. Tune sux so im sure there is more in it. The bottom plate is a pain in the *** as well. If you want all you can get out of it make sure you use a 85mm TB instead of the 80 that im using. The BBK throttlebodies DO suck. I have had 2 of them and both had hanging issues.

Actually low end power feels a little better and throttle response is better as well, this was before I swapped out my stock throttle body too.

looks to me if you have a h/c combo the manifold works great and to it's potential. now with me h/c isn't happening. for me i'll i'm going with lt, catback and maybe the 85mm lid and mass air to compliment the 85mm intake if i go this route, but i don't know if this intake can help me more than to just go with the ls6. main goal is to not sacrafice the low end power but still won't the wide power band all the way up top for my mods.
