Default how to seal up exhaust.

how did you guys do it? My car sounds like it is leaking, I have no AIR or EGR to have leaks there, (those areas are well sealed), It is coming from where those U bolt clamps are on the system. Is there anything better to use to get a good seal?

You could try using band clamps instead, although if you used U-bolts I would think that the pipe would be comprimised and you would not get a good seal out of those. Also try loosening the U-bolt and turning it 45, 90, etc, and see if just turning and repositioning would help. Maybe make a new groove after you loosen the U-bolt and retighten.

Use the stainless band clamps available from thunder, summit, etc.

If you still have some small leaks after trying the band clamps, the "Permatex," Black Sensor Safe RTV works. That is short of just welding it.

Thanks for the replys guys, I believe the RTV will come into play next. I just can't get the clamps to do it.
