Coolant through intake
I will be putting my motor back together in a couple of weeks and was wondering if I can delete the metal tubing that bolts on under the intake that is shaped like an "X" isn't this where coolant goes through?? If I was to bypass the throttle body wouldn't it make sense to just delete this. Any help would be appreciated..

Those are the steam vent lines for your cooling system & venting the heads is needed. As noted above, a good solution is the LS6 style line in the front. Although tying the front & rear vents together isn't a bad idea, the LS6 style front vent piping is enough. The two front vents will connect together & then to the top of the radiator or radiator hose.
