Default Alternator problem

Hey guys I have a 98 z28. Changed out the alternator and battery a few weeks back. I keep getting a check gauges light and my volt meter is reading in the red. I've check all my connections they are all good. I've taken the alternator back and swapped it with another one. Its a brand new not a rebuild. I had them put it on the tester and it was testing good. Took it home and my car is still doing the same thing. Prior to changing my alternator and battery it was not doing any of this. I see there are some relays in my fuse box could they be bad? I'm at a loss, any ideas.....
