Default Seals for ls6 intake mani

Any sponsor sale the seals...perferibly the o ring on the back of the manifold where the map sensor plugs into. I just had my manifold fixed, and might as well put new seals on everything before I throw it on the car. thanks.

I think Ws6store has them. New seals are good, but I just lubed the old ones up a little bit and haven't had an issue. Manifold had 60k or so when I put it on

Yea, the fab shop owner I know that fixed my mani said only one place had an o ring the same size, but it was a different matieral and toughness, and I don't want to risk it. The GM store said only way to get that o ring from them is to buy a new mani

Well it seems I can't get that peice, so another question to ask. If I were to just buy another O ring the same size, would I run into problems if they are different strenghts? Like, rubber vs whatever? There isn't too much pressure I believe in the intake mani, so I don't think this would cause a leak? Or am I just off, and would be better off buying another mani

Dealership is no.....I would have to buy a whole new mani just for that part.

Can't use the one I have, seeing as it not only has a large nic in it, but also cut, and not one peice anymore.

I think it's GM part number 16194007 and runs about $5. It looks like SDPC will let you order it separately.

^^I think that's the small seal for the MAP sensor itself. He's looking for the larger O-ring that seals that piece in the rear of the manifold that the map sensor slides into.

Yea, Matt tried to help me out yesterday, but unfortunatly nothing. I also called my local GM store, and got nothing still. Thanks for the help anyway Matt, I really appriciate it.

Anyone know if any kind of O ring will work, or does it have to be a specific material?

Default o-rin

any auto parts store should have O-ring asst. material really dosent matter its a vacuum seal so no liquids or oil would affect it. test fit - should be a snug fit if loose may leak vacuum if doubt could add silicone sealer

Take what's left of the old one to any hydraulic shop, they can make you one from bulk material.

Actually we took some silicone seal, and just layered it carefully, fixed the oring with it, then once it was snapped back in place, a little more silicone around it, and wipped away any excess. I'll hopefully get around to putting it on this weekend, along with my new shifter, so we shall see. Thanks for all the help guys. If it doesn't work, I'm just going to save my money for a new FAST 92/92.
