Gutting or removal of Cats, will it throw any codes???

Default Gutting or removal of Cats, will it throw any codes???

Just wondering b/c of the O2 sensors, would i need to get some mock 02's??or are there no problems with it

I would have to say that yes this will throw some codes. The rear O2 sensors detect changes from the front 2. If there are no changes then there is bound to be an SES light. There should however be no performance difference because of the codes.

I took out my whole system a couple of weeks ago after I installed my Pacesetters no codes yet

my cat is gutted then again i have an lt1, but no codes here.

Ken, you're still running front 02's right? I haven't had a chance to put in those cats yet. I didn't have a deep well 15 to get a handle on those bolts to pull it out. Also, what size is the 02 sensor if anyone knows? I don't have a wrench to fit it, just have a Craftsmen quick wrench that barely grabs on to it, but the wrench is a POS. As for throwing codes, I'd recommend a set of O2 simulators from one of the sponsors on the right...
