Default knock retard EVERYWHERE after sensor swap.

OK, some of yall might have seen my thread where I was having idling issues, etc. Got that squared away. But via hptuners, I have Knock retard EVERYWHERE, 5* in reverse, 12* at part throttle etc. hit it from 80-140, NO KNOCK, there was one spell of .8* for less than half a second.

- im taking the car to get tuned friday, but damned im kinda worried I have other issues.

The 98 PCM's are more prone to false knock(if that's what you are using). Maybe it's picking up some clatter from the forged pistons. My car does show the occasional KR at idle, but never under a load.

Did you use the same style sensors that come out, or did you try to "upgrade"? The '98's had 2 types of sensors installed from the factory. On one type, the connectors looked like a "bottle nipple" and the other type just used a clip. I had the infamous '98 knock retard problem and I simple replaced the sensors with exactly what came out of of my block and my knock retard problem was solved. I had the "bottle nipple" sensors. I didn't try swapping the harness to switch over to the clip style sensors. After I replaced them, my problems were solved.

...If you swapped sensor styles, I'd go back to what you had orignally and just get a new pair...
