Want dual exhaust that is quiet but dumps before the axle?
Here is what I had before, to what I have now. Hooker headers to a 3" duals with X-pipe and 16" Dynomax bullets. Today, I had 16" Moroso Spiral Flow mufflers installed to replace the 16" bullets, and I had two 12" Dynomax bullets installed before the X-pipe. The bulelts won't hurt flow any, and I haven't seen any proof that Spiral Flows will either on a street engine. It literally cut the sound by 3/4 at idle, about 1/2 at part throttle, but the WOT sound is still there, but just a little bit quieter. It sounds more tuned now, with much less resonance and rasp in the 45-55mph area. I am very happy with it, had it done for $100 with my mufflers. I think I might have to get dual cutouts somewhere in there for those times I feel like being obnoxious. I give this exhaust two thumbs up, and suggest something like it to anyone who wants the simplicity and less weight of duals dumped before the axle without all the usual noise.
