Default Quick Mac header question

I see the 98-99 and then 01-02 MAC headers. I know there are some differences between the years. but is it plausible to use say 98-99 MAC headers or any header for that matter on a 2001-02 fbody? Or are they year spec'd for a reason? I tried searching for any answer couldn't locate it.

Really just need to know if 98-99 headers can or may be used on the other years? I know the cars in 98-99 came with egr? would you just block that part off?

If you are using the 98-99 Mac headers they will work fine on a 01-02. Like you said just need to block off the Egr and Air. I have them on my 2000 and had to do some fabrication work.
