Default beatin to death so now beat me! ram air?

ok first of heres a old pic of the hood. THE Z
now i currently have the stealth box and im happy with it. but seeing as i got those lovely nostrils id like to try to utilize them. the inside openings are a little to far back to hit the front of the stock air box. my ? is do you think the volant system could benifit me here or some sort of custom airbox that has connection to the maf on the bottom and the hood seals to the filter? im new to high tech performance but i understand the basics(i think). i see my options as this- the volant, complete custom, or keep my stealth and add ftra or super sucker. id like to hear your opinions with out cost being a factor.

thanks

The 'ram air' on SS's and WS6's are mostly for show and there's really nothing that can be done to them on the underside without extensive custom work. IMO, although I love the look, leave it alone and go with ftra or super-sucker. Spend your money on engine mods

I guess you've never seen or heard of Brian Greene then.

The BG ram air kit for WS6s does not AT ALL require extensive custom work. I installed mine in about an hour. Three years later it's still perfect.

It brought my IATs down by an adverage of 30-40 degrees.

Which is where the gains are, not because it "rams" air.

when iff your going with iat readings for improvement then is the volant a good choice since ill have outside air going directly to it?
like i said cost is not in ?. i would like a good setup. since my hood is not the same as most z's i am just curious if one road is better than another?
