Default Borla Y-pipe ???

I have a Borla Adj cat back system on my car, I know the stock y-pipes suck *** because of the flat pipe on the drivers side. I'm not interested in doing headers now or in the future, so I was lookin at the Borla y-pipe cause it will hook up with the stock pipes

I know just doing the y-pipe get's you little gain in HP, but I was wondering if will make my exhaust louder or change the sound of it in anyway??????

Has anyone done this before??????

I didn't do it. So I can't say it will make it louder. But I'm pretty sure it will be a little louder, not much, though. What exactly are you trying to achieve? Loudness? More HP?

If it's an off road y pipe it will be louder. If it keeps the stock cats it won't have any affect, sound or performance, whatsoever.

So me buying just a y-pipe is pointless.....I thought going from a flat pipe to a round pipe would make a difference.....So your pretty much saying that I would have to get a y-pipe with high flow cats to see any difference at all????

I don't think you'd see any difference with a high flow cat y pipe either. The stock cats flow pretty good. Unless you get an off road y pipe you're not gonna see much difference and even then it'd only be a couple hp. I'd get some long tube headers and an off road y pipe.

Ok, what type of headers and y-pipe would you personally recommend?
How much HP would I gain from that setup and a tune?
And I saw that you have a Borla catback, how much louder did adding headers + ory make ur exhaust?

Quick Reply: Borla Y-pipe ???
