What bolts are you guys using for header installs
I got my LPP's installed the other day and used an old (new) set of bolts that I got when I ordered a set of Pacesetters a while back. I found them sitting in a box and the stock ones I pulled out thread in/out extremely hard so I wanted to use a new bolt instead. Well There seems to be a fair amount of "slop" if you will around the bolt and the bore in the mounting flange for the headers. The bolts don't have a very large shoulder and you can see some of the hole sticking out from under the bolt head/shoulder. This gives the header some slop as well while mounting it and I want to make sure that the outlet on the head and each primary line up correctly. I was just wondering what bolts you guys are using for your header installs. I don't remember having this problem before with any other set of headers.
Thanks

I like the stage 8 locking bolts (I don't use the locks)
I have used new stock blots that come with some headers.
I have used ARP header studs. I am not a big fan of the studs. You can't get the header up into place with the studs in place, so you have to use one to hole the header up and put the others in with the header in the way.

Better off getting them from the dealer if you want new stockers. Might take 1-2 days to get. You could go to a hardware store or a Sears and pick up some grade 8 bolts and be fine.

I used the ARP studs. Made it quite easy to install, since you can hang the headers on the studs while you get the nuts started. Only problem I had was 2 of the studs refused to thread into the bolt holes all the way. The stock bolts worked fine, so I have 2 of them on there also.

crap! I didnt use any anti sieze on the header bolts. A local shop advised against it... Should I pull em out and put some on there before I fire it up. (I havent started it with the new headers yet...) ??
Thanks!
