Default 01 valve covers on 98 heads
Will the 01 valve covers fit on the 98 heads?

Nope. '97-98 had perimeter bolt valve covers, '99+ were center bolt.

like he said..but I thought it was 2000-up was center bolt

no the 99 and up valve covers will not fit our heads,
