LQ4 question
what the hell are these tube coming from the rear driver's side of the block? i can tfigure out what they are for. my ls1 doesnt seem to have them. for anyone who has put a 6.0 in their f body what was the remedy for this problem? is there a block off kit for this block or what?

if they are the holes on the oilpan right above the oil filter they are for an oil cooler but you can run a tap in them and put a plug in them if you dont plan on running an oil cooler

oops my fault i told you a lie dont plug the holes gm has a sort of block off plate that bolts to that and allows the oil to flow through the rest of the motor if you block them off it will burn up your motor

It is the oil cooler lines used on the 1500HD and up frames. Passanger cars did not use this (why I have no idea ). Simply remove the block off plate from you old engine and replace the oil cooler lines with it. Any 1997 to current oil pan will bolt up to any LSx platform block.
