Default Oil pan gasket

When replacing the oil pan gasket do you use any RTV silicone on the gasket???

No, the gaskets for these engines are very nice gaskets. Not like the paper gaskets in older engines.

yes they are dry gaskets so nothing is needed. i usually dab a tiny bit where the front and back covers are against the oil pan. (four spots)
