Default Coil packs

Heard from a buddy of mine that the 5.7L truck coil packs put off the same ignition as the MSD coil packs. Just wondering if anyone else has heard this as i've debated on getting a new set of coil packs.

Are your coil packs bad, or do you have money burning a hole in your pocket?

Yes, the truck ones are very good. MSD coils are a waste of money. SweetS10 is right, you can help out the economy if you want but unless you have a coil problem its not worth the money.

there is no reason to replace them unless there broke, but most people put the truck coil packs on them because they have slightly larger heat sinks in them so they would be better in high revving and high heat applications definately wouldn't waste my money on new ones stock is more than effeciant enough for most any application

you would also need to buy the truck wires since the car ones are too short.
