Default hooker exhaust and cutout

i was wondering if i should just get the muffler or get the whole cat back. i would save 200 dollars by just getting the muffler. i am also putting a cutout in. what should i do. thanks in advance.

If you plan on installing a cutout anyway, then just replace the muffler alone. I see no point in getting the full catback, and plus you'll save some money.

I would do the whole catback. You get a 3" I pipe too.

Is there anything that even compares to the Hooker for looks, hp, and sound for the money? I mean, $289?

There is one more thing you might want to include in the $289 price tag, and that is..............rusted tips in 6-9 months.

I bought a Hooker Aero cat-back system and the exhaust tips started to rust in 6-9 months, no joke. My car has never seen a snow or a even a rainy day, the only water is sees, is when i wash it.

Sorry i dont have anything constructive to say, but please heed my warning.

The Hooker cat-backs are made of mild steel, thus the less expensive price tag. They have updated the tips recently to be polished stainless steel, so they will not rust like their old chrome version.

If you are looking for longevity, go with a stainless cat-back.

I was going to say I thought that had been changed. We have a kid at work with the Hooker on his TA. I rode in it yesterday, I can say what a clean sound and nice look, but it's too quiet for me.
