Default Platinum plugs - total crap?

I'm trying to tune my engine so it will pass NY emmissions testing....

I'm now running Bosh Platinium 4 plugs. I have heard some conflicting stories about these plugs; some say they are total garbage; others say they are great...

Question: would these plugs cause the engine to emmit more hydro carbons than a NGK plug, for example?

Platinums will last longer, but they are not the best.

Copper is a better conductor of electricity than platinum will ever be. Make your decision from that. You will find that almost NONE of the fastest cars on this board run a platinum plug. If you're worried about plug changes and don't want to do them often, than the platinums are for you. However the copper is gonna be the best route for power IMO.
