Default true duals over the axle or ARH y pipe with cutouts and SLP dual dual

I just got a new car and right now it has true duals over the axle with single chambe mufflers, I'm not 100% set on this setup. I have laying in the floor a ARH y pipe with cutouts and a slp dual dual.

duals will sound better and flow more

but they will cost more, reduce clearance (maybe) and probably add weight

ypipe setup pretty much is the exact opposite.

but damn do TDs sound nice!!!

I tell you, duals WILL make more power and torque, WILL sound better, and OTA will be heavier. If you go OTA, use stainless, and do it right, it will also cost more. Expect a grand to 1500 for a proper dual 3" mandrel bent set of OTA duals. Plus, it's almost impossible to do dual 3" without a PHB relo kit, I know of one car that has done it. That's another $250. The duals also allow you to get more flow with less sound, if that's your thing. You can also make it armageddon loud too.

Lots of ways to skin this cat, up to your:
1. taste
2. goals and requirements
3. BUDGET

The op said that it already has the duals over the axle, and in that case i would leave well enough alone, if it is too loud then there are quieter muffler options out there

Whoo, missed a key word there. Install the ARHs, tie them smoothly into your duals and add an x pipe, cats, and/or change mufflers. Be grateful you already have what most want! If they were done well, leave them and change mufflers!! Many like the Borla and Magnaflow muffs on duals.
