Put cats back on it or get a different cat back.

Im pretty sure the loudmouth uses "resonators" and not mufflers so getting a different cat back with similar flow is hard to come by b/c they all use mufflers to quiet it down.

use a magnaflow muffler in place of the SLP resonator, or a hooker or magnaflow catback, all good options if you want to tame it down

or you could also put a bullet muffler in the I-pipe, that will tame it down a good bit and help to eliminate any rasp, i would think a dynomax bullet would be plenty to tame it down without sacrificing too much flow

I have the stainless Gibson catback from LMPerformance. Was about $467 shipped. It has a solid internal construction, chambered and louvered design, with no packing to blow out or baffles that can become brittle.

The only downside is that it comes with u-bolt clamps which sucks but I decided to just man up and buy stainless band clamps.

I just had ARH's with Catted Y put on the car and its loud enough to be enjoyable but also screams a little bit when you go wide open. It's not obnoxious like loudmouth cars typically are. Also seems to flow well since I just made 347/356 with bolt ons.

Go with the power flo option for your LM. You get the parts from SLP and it quiets it down pretty well i have a similar setup and its very manageable.

Do you have a sound clip or video of your setup? I recently installed Jet Hot LT's and Catted Y-pipe matched to my existing SLP Loudmouth. It's loud, but it sounds good on my car. Have a listen...

Does your's sound anything like that?

I'd go either powerflo or get a magnaflow bullet muffler to replace the resonator.

Try using the loudmouth 2 resonator. Or add the powerflow option that slp has.

X2^. I plan to do this after i install my LTs and cam in the next few weeks.

Also not to hijack your thread, but with LTs and LM1 will the XR1 make a somewhat noticable difference? because Ive seen the XR1 on a LM2,not a LM1.

It should, but it's not as drastic as you'd think.

My cats + hooker + mods in sig can be obnoxious but compared to a LM with only headers /ORY is quieter with much better sound quality. These car are hard to make stealthy w/o costing hp......
