pcv valve????????????

Default pcv valve????????????

if the pcv valve is not work rite and is sucking alot of oil in the intake, will this cause a vaccum leak? and cause the car to die at red lites sometimes and not idle rite sometimes? and search from time to time? thanks john

Yes, a bad PCV valve will cause all kinds of problems. Check your entire system to ensure it's not rotted out. This is common on older cars.

I would just replace it its like $4 at auto zone.

if they have it..... i tried 4 in my area for my fiancee's jeep and not a single one had it in stock. must be a high demand part. but yea just replace it and watch the engine for a few days.

its not the valve that usually fails, its the rubber hoses that run from the back of both valve covers up the passenger side of the intake that tends to rot. Do a search, There are a million threads on the pcv lines/valves.
