402's / 408's that changed from 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 headers post gains
As the title states, anyone with 402's or 408's that originally ran 1 3/4 headers that later swapped to 1 7/8 headers could you please post up your gains and mention what kind of difference you noticed down low, mid range, and up top. Thanks in advance to all those that help this thread along with good information.
I'd be especially interested in the results people saw the went from 1 3/4 lg pros to ARH 1 7/8.....

Post a graph if you have a graph showing an A-B comparison of just 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 headers with a tune tweak. No graphs that added headers and different cams etc etc. Thanks
I'll be at Vengeance Racing in 3 weeks so I am really looking to get an idea of what to expect. Feel free to mention fitment, and quality of construction, or even any problems you have had. All information will be helpful.
Everyone have a good day.

good luck finding any real world comparisons. you will see claims of power differences but not much actual proof. that's why i still have 1 3/4 tubes on my junk.i have been debating the swap for a long time but would hate to drop that kind of dough and not pick up enough power to warrant the swap.

Thanks for the comments bro. Well if I don't get much help "real world a-b" comparisons then at least I'll be posting my own in about 3 weeks. Thank god for the circumstances I am in. It ended up being a blessing. More on that later.............................

i switched on my t/a, but it was for more of a fitment issue. Plus i know on the jug they will help. I have not been back to a dyno, and have gotten efi-live. So the car totally runs sooooo much better than it did with the last dyno tune. I will be going to the track on sat. Last time out this year i went 5mph better trap and was short shifting in every gear. Not saying the headers did it, i think most of it was the tune. I will say that the American Racing headers are a work of art.

RPM auto, even though you don't have numbers, your experiences with them and quality comments are exactly the input I am looking for. Thanks a lot sir and stay tuned for my results coming in about 3 weeks. Should be very interesting. Actual A-B comparisons on the same day, same dyno so everything is equal. Header swap, cam swap, and heads swap. !!!!
