Default Emissions Testing with Hooker Headers and no Cats.

I have a set of Hooker longtubes with an ORY and I have a ses light. obviously right now I won't pass emissions, but is there any way I can clear the codes 15min before I take the test and I will pass? Or do I need them tuned out?

Well you should have them tuned out.
There isn't really any way around it, because if you have autozone clear them then they may come back minutes before the test.
You can park somewhere near by and disconnect your battery and re-connect it, maybe that will work

Ok well I can get a scanner and clear the codes right before I take the test. But If I do that will it show up that my rear O2's are missing?

I don't live in an emissions testing state, but I think you need them tuned out.

The Cat monitor tests will show as unrun, which I assume would require the tester to run the car until all emission tests are run. Once they run and fail, it will set the codes and you won't pass.

No way around it, the readiness codes will show as incomplete and you will not pass either way. You have to get them turned off.

depends on your tuner. some will do it for a $100 license fee, others will charge a full tune price.

Ok Thanks! What would be a decent price for a tune. All I have done is headers, ORY, slp lid, and a Borla catback.

I think they still do a visual check here in Ohio; therefore, you may fail just because you have no cats. If you can get around that then I would expect you would have to have the rear o2s deleted by tune. Any tampering with emission control devices is an auto fail and punishable by law and fine...LoL! Simply moving the cats is against the law.

I live in Washington state. I know it's illegal but I have never been through a visual check. So I am going to try and get the rear o2's tuned out and pray they don't pop the hood.

I have a friend who passed emissions with his '00 Camaro and he doesn't have any cats.

Hmmm, here, they walk around the car with a mirror on a long handle to check under the car for cats and O2s. They also pop the hood and check for smog equipment as well as the gas cap. The local places here have some real asses too. I work at a Mercedes/Volvo/ Buick dealer and I just had a customer who went for an E-check and they flat out refused to check his Benz because the OBD port was loose; the bracket was broken, so he had to spend $250.00 for a new bolster and bracket...just for them to scan his benz so he could renew his plates!
