Yes, if you use a longer than stock bolt to seat the pulley. Remember that the process is to seat the pulley and then install the new bolt and torque the new bolt. The 240ft-lb spec is to seat the pulley. You don't want to use the impact and the stock bolt to seat the pulley as the stock bolt won't thread in far enough to prevent cross threading or stripping.

I would not use a impact gun for any thing on a engine, but thats just me. Put your pully in the oven at 250 deg for about 20 min and then tap it on with a rubber mallet this will help get the pully started so you dont F up the crank threads. Use a 18" braker bar and start to run the bolt and pully in. Just my $.02.

^^^to add to that, dead blow hammers are the ****. Try that if you want to whack away at it. I personally bought Hawks tool off here and it works great. No hammer needed.
