Default Yet another ATI damper question

i have the ATI non- underdrive pullety on my race motor, how does the AC pulley(i am using it to drive a small race alternator) mount to the pulley, please tell me it doesnt mount to the BACk of the hub? the hub is already on the car! pics would be appreciated!

On mine (LS1 F-body application), it bolted to the back of the hub. It wouldn't line up with the A/C compressor otherwise.

Actually...after re-reading your post, where does the alternator fall in this picture? The A/C pulley on mine bolted on through the main drive pulley, not to the hub itself (I'm considering the hub the part that gets pressed on to the crank snout).

Yes, in all LS applications that I know of, the A/C pulley mounts to the back of the hub.

just did one this past weekend.. it mounts on the back of the hub. use a old school (sbc)harmonic balancer pulley remover to get the hub off. if thats what your worried about..works perfect.

WELL CRAP, i was afraid you'd say that.......Stupid ATI directions! hey say you can install the hub without the pulley installed, now i have to pull the damn thing off again! ugh!!

I think what they meant to say was that you can indeed install the hub without the A/C pulley on there - IF you don't intend to use said pulley

It isn't hard to pull it with the right tool - if you were close to me, I'd let you borrow mine.
